Feathers

Holidays began, Susan welcomed them
It would soon be time for lunch or tea
So she took them in in let them stroll around...

Their dreams were wild and colored but yet unremembered
The feathers they had followed never touching the ground

Holidays went on spent some time with the bunch
Felt the afternoon comfort from low to high
In the realm of horses the ravens sleep
And their feathers smile before they weep

The weather changed a storm had passed
And feathers spread down on the ground
The sound it made was not unheard
They heard it for miles ev'ry word

You fail the first time anyway
Horseback freedom's hard you say
Third time's a charm

The wind had ceased vacations went
In Susan's House no longer spent
And feathers rained over the house
And in time they vanished laughter was banished...
